MINTFIT offers free orientation tests and e-learning courses in math, physics, chemistry, and computer science for school-age students and prospective students so that they can make a smooth transition to starting with their studies.

The free MINTFIT online tests allow you to test your skills in the STEM subjects and see how closely these align with the demands of a STEM degree program. After you take the test, your results will be displayed and will show any gaps in knowledge you might have and give you individual learning recommendations. After that you can work on the areas suggested using our e-learning courses.

Since 2014, the MINTFIT Hamburg project (www.mintfit.hamburg) has been offering web-based orientation tests and blended e-learning courses to help students have a smooth transition from school to higher education. Our free and anonymous online offerings are aimed at school-age students, prospective students, and career changers who would like to assess their knowledge in the STEM disciplines (math, physics, chemistry, and computer science) on their own so that they can fill any gaps they might have. The MINTFIT offerings can be used for focused preparation for a degree program, training, or an examination (e.g., written examination or Abitur). Our experience has shown that good preparation reduces the difficulties students encounter at the start of their studies or training and ensures that they will have more success in their studies.
The greatest benefits of the MINTFIT online offerings are found in the combination of self-assessment tests and integrated online courses. After participants take the online tests, they automatically receive detailed test results that identify individual knowledge gaps. After that you can work on the areas suggested using our e-learning courses.
Using the many MINTFIT test and learning materials, MINTFIT participants should learn that they can quickly identify and work through any skill areas where they might be lacking. In this way, independent learning is promoted and seen as a way to help people help themselves. Our experience has shown that good preparation reduces the difficulties students encounter at the start of their studies or training and ensures that they will have more success in their studies.
